Sanathana Dharma has been in vogue ever since the dawn of civilization. The Vedas form an integral part of this civilization. Veda means knowledge .It was available in various streams of knowledge until Veda Vyasa codified it. The codification resulted in four Vedas namely Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharva.

Rig Veda consists of mantras.

Yajur Veda consists of Mantras and explanations known as Brahmanas.

Sama Veda are the mantras rendered musically.

Atharva Veda consists of mantras and rituals for ceremonies like Marriage.

There have been many treatises on the Vedas. Sage Sayana explained the Vedas as mere ritualistic songs which school of thought was followed by max Mueller and many later exponents.

Maharishi Aurobindo in his book the Secret of Veda set the thought straight by asserting that Vedas are not ritualistic but contain symbolism.

Students of Veda who are keen to understand the real purport and meanings may find this website and its inks useful in their study.

The methodology adopted is to guide the lay reader who has no understanding of Sanskrit. There are many treatises available on Rig Veda.

We are providing the meaning of Yajur Veda. There are 7 Kandas in the Yajur Veda and we start with the first kanda Kanda 1 has eight Prapataka. And each Prapataka has varying Anuvaka. Each Anuvaka has many Rig mantras and Brahmanas. Portions of these are being used on many religious occasions.

The structure of the episodes are as follows

Each episode of the YouTube channel starts with an introduction of one minute.
This is followed by the reciting of the Anuvaka by experts. The Anuvaka is spelt out in English by way of transliteration which can be used to follow the manthras being recited.
After the recital,there is an explanation of the Anuvaka ,devoid of symbolism. The episode concludes with a gist of what to expect in the next episode. The length of each Anuvaka is limited to 5 to 8 minutes.

This is meant to elicit interest and also make the Vedas reverberate throughout the world.
